The oldest pre-war Rolls-Royce and Bentley UK specialist restorer, Fiennes Restoration, is participating in the RREC (Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club) Concours and Rally at Rockingham Castle this weekend, 18-19 June, with a unique 1932 Rolls-Royce 20/25 drop-head coupé restored by Fiennes Restoration, with 10,000 man-hours lavished upon the project over a period of twelve years.
Already an award winner (Best in 20/25 Class, Rockingham 2010), this year the Rolls-Royce enters the Masters Class category.
Dr Will Fiennes, managing director of Fiennes Restoration, will also present a one-hour seminar on Saturday, 18 June, on the subject of pre-war suspension systems.
‘The RREC Concours and Rally event has been hosting seminars for the last three years,’ explains Dr Fiennes. ‘It has become customary for me to contribute to the initiative, which caters for Rolls-Royce enthusiasts and connoisseurs from all over the world. We are expecting around 1,000 Rolls-Royces and Bentleys to participate this year, the most spectacular gathering of the best in British craftsmanship and bespoke manufacturing.’
After the flagship RREC event at Rockingham Castle, the Rolls-Royce 20/25 restored by Fiennes Restoration and privately owned by Richard Raynsford, will also participate in Salon Privé’s Concours d’Elégance, ‘A Hundred Years of the Spirit of Ecstasy’ category before entering Pebble Beach Concours d’Elégance in California (August 2011).
