CON 7 - FAMILY CHERISHED NUMBER FOR SALE

"ONE WAS OWNED BY HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN"
In the 1960’s my late Father Conrad Davis (known to everyone who knew him as CON) was the owner of a Vauxhall Cresta PA Estate car, one of only 200 ever made and indeed one was owned by Her Majesty The Queen at the time for many years.
"ARE RARE CARS TODAY"
The Cresta PA is probably the most well-known version. It mimicked the American fashion for giant tailfins, wrap-around windows,"major league" chromework and whitewall tyres but in an understated way compared to the Cadillacs and Buicks of the time. It bears a strong resemblance to a 1955 Packard Caribbean. All factory-built PAs were 4-Door Saloons, the Estate cars were converted by Friary of Basingstoke, Hampshire and are rare cars today.
"AS A BUSINESSMAN WAS ALWAYS AHEAD OF THE TRENDS"
Although ‘Cherished Numbers’ are a common sight today, in 1962 it wasn’t such a ‘big-deal’.  My Father (who as a Businessman was always ahead of the trends) then chose to purchase from the local DVLA Office a number that spelt his name ‘CON’ & had his lucky number 7 in it - CON 7.
Many happy family years were spent traveling in CON 7 Cresta PA around Europe & the UK by my brother & I with Mum & Dad.
"THE DECISION HAS BEEN MADE TO SELL THE CHERISHED NUMBER CON 7"
The Cresta is now owned by my brother Richard and is under the extensive, expensive & time consuming process of restoration, with CON 7 currently registered to his own personal vehicle and after much sole searching the decision has been made to sell the Cherished Number CON 7 with the hope of assisting the restoration.
If anyone is interested (or you know someone who might be interested?) in the Cherished Number CON 7 and considering purchasing it to continue the story with their Family, please get in touch.

Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter (JQ) a unique area dating back over 250 years is still home to over 400 jewellery businesses. A designated conservation area with over 200 listed buildings, and is a proposed World Heritage Site.

It has been described by English Heritage as a unique historic environment in England, which has few, if any, parallels in Europe. The Quarter also contains Birmingham’s last remaining Georgian Square in the tranquil surroundings of St Paul’s, with its fine restaurants, bars and http://jewelleryquarter.net/category/directory/gallery/

As a resident of the JQ, Latvian expat Anna Sicova therefore thought it perfect for her ‘Pre Wedding’ Photo-Shoot with it's many hidden treasures...

VINTAGE 'CHERISH THE DRESS', a set on Flickr.
The Period Setting, Georgian Square, Rolling Lawns, Tree-lined Walks were the perfect elements of Birmingham's St Paul's Square in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter for our Vintage ‘Cherish the Dress’ Wedding Photo-Shoot.

Visiting from Florida, USA, Jessi J showed off her Vintage Wedding Dress and looked stunningly timeless in this classic look and setting.

Ace Your Face UK and talented American expat Kadian Pow provided the Style & Make-up, producing fellow Countrywoman Jessi J’s gorgeous Vintage ‘Cherish the Dress’ look. A tremendously fun shoot and our thanks to both Kadian & Jessi for their expert preparation.
