Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice biggest fundraising event of the year, Starlight Stroll, took place on Saturday, July 2.

Supported by Deputy Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Len Gregory and formally opened by Deputy Lady Mayoress, Gillian Gregory who both took part in the 8 mile Starlight Stroll.

More than 400 women and girls signed up for the sponsored walk, which began at the University of Birmingham in Edgbaston.

Before they all set off, though, there was a huge thank you to each and every one of them from Birmingham St Mary's Hospice.

The tremendous efforts of everyone involved makes an enormous difference to local people living with life-limiting illnesses such as Cancer, Aids, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease and helps their families come to terms with the illness and loss.
