TURTLE WAX - REFINE & SHINE CLAY BAR KIT

Ever wondered about those 'Tricks of the Trade' that are used to make the paint surface of cars Gleam with a Brilliant Professional Shine?

Last time I commented on Turtle Wax's fabulous Eduracoat System although what I didn't mention was some other preparation I completed prior to the Enduracoat System, again using Turtle Wax Products; REFINE & SHINE CLAY BAR KIT.

Everyday your car is bombarded with contaminants such as Brake Dust, Dirt, Tree Sap, Insects & Road Tar.  These impurities become embedded in your car's finish, making the paintwork rough and dull and prevent a freshly waxed surface from properly reflecting the light.  Eventually this will cause 'Oxidation' of the paintwork.

After washing off the Dirt the smooth surface can be easily restored to your car's finish by using a 'Trick of the Trade' called a CLAY BAR.

SO WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

• 1 x 100g Clay Bar
• 1 x 500ml Spray Bottle of Lubricant

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

1. Use the Clay ONLY on a clean vehicle
2. Lightly 'mist' the surface with Clay Bar Lubricant
3. Gently rub the Clay Bar in one direction across the lubricated area, following the lines of the panel.  DO NOT rub back & forth as this will re-deposit the contaminants & old wax back on to the surface.  The Clay will 'GRAB' at first as it picks-up the contaminants, when it glides freely the contaminants are removed.  Keep the surface lubricated and continue rubbing until the finish is smooth and contaminant-free.
4. Wipe the surface with a microfibre or soft terry towel.  Turn towel over and lightly buff until for a high gloss shine.
5. As the bar becomes soiled, simply pull, stretch and re-fold to expose a clean side.  Discard the bar when it becomes totally soiled (dark coloured).  DO NOT use a bar that bar that has been dropped on the ground.
6. Continue in sections until the entire section vehicle is complete.
7. Remove any Clay Bar smears by lightly missing with Clay Bar Lubricant and wipe with a clean dry towel.
8. To store the Clay Bar, mist it with lubricant and seal it in an airtight plastic bag or container.

TURTLE WAX ENDURACOAT SYSTEM - WOW IT'S GOOD!

I drive as my everyday car a very cost effective 10 year old Porsche Boxster; So when I was asked by those lovely people at Tangerine PR to check-out the latest Product from Turtle Wax, the Boxster was in for a treat!

Over the years I've used many products to protect and enhance paintwork, with many being hard-work and/or leaving powdery residue as a bi-product of the process.

Following the Turtle Wax's recommendations I ensured the car was washed clean and leathered-off, plus previously the paintwork had been waxed.  Now came the moment to apply the Liquid Wax Shield, which I have to say was very simple indeed with the Sponge Applicator, coating a Door, Bonnet, or Boot surface at a time, waiting for the it to very quickly dry and then polishing it with the Micro-fibre Polishing Cloth - Simple!

I completed the process for all of the paintwork ensuring I paid attention to detail and the results were fabulous! Providing a deep and alluring shine that according to Turtle Wax will provide 12 months  of showroom shine and protection, indeed at a fraction of the price of packs available at dealerships.

That night it rained, providing the usual example of well protected paintwork...

REGENERATIVE CONDITIONER SHAMPOO

Now that's only half the story; Turtle Wax Enduracoat System has another essential element, Regenerative Conditioner Shampoo that Turtle Wax recommend you use once a month when washing your 'Pride & Joy' back to it's showroom shine & protection.

So after repeated normal washing of the Porsche I thought it was about time I tried the Regenerative Conditioner Shampoo.  Washing the Boxster as normal with 2 cap-fulls of the Regenerative Conditioner Shampoo to a bucket of water and using the supplied Microfibre Wash Mitt to wash the car and then washing of with clean water and finishing with the leather.
